A couple of years ago, I started learning Japanese, and taking lessons. It’s a magnificent language to learn. Very interesting and beautiful.
One of the problems is getting enough use of the language so that it sticks in my mind. To that effect, I have started a series of small blog posts in Japanese, called 日本語の日記。You can access these from the menu.
I’ll also be using this site as a learning tool, and add pages underneath the 日本語 menu item. These will be more for my own benefit.

The Japanese language consists of several writing systems. There are 3 main ones. There are hiragana and katakana, which are phonetic alphabets, each with 48+ characters.
